About Chef Jordan

“I cook with my roots grounded in the soul of the earth…”

Jordan Rainbolt is a private Chef who uses Indigenous ingredients + Global inspiration to create unique tasting experiences. She comes to North Carolina by way of Kansas City, Missouri. Whether it’s by pulling from her family’s Native heritage, her training in Korea, or her experience in a variety of cuisines for over more than a decade, Chef Jordan loves to blur the lines under the heat. She is proud of her roots and the inspiration that continues to drive her curiosity.

Jordan’s respect for ingredients and their sources is one to be admired. She constantly pushes the boundaries of cooking through research + experimentation + collaboration. Her appreciation for the earth and its roots are evident in every bite.

She lets the ingredients tell her what they want.

Native root creates a unique experience that celebrates cultural humility by focusing on the indigenous ingredients of our southeast region while showcasing the roots of our land and history in an approachable and inclusive way.

Our way of expressing this concept is shared through our dinners within our community. We are able to convey our concepts through community pop ups, private parties, and our moon dinner supper club.

Chef Jordan is also available for private events. Whether it is a family style meal for a birthday of forty or a private dinner for six, Jordan will put her soul + passion into developing the menu with you for your event. Her training, experience, and skill set make her nimble enough to do anything from a Korean style dinner to a low country boil and everything in between.
